Munchin’ Rex Pet

Munchin' Rex Pet

Honestly,  sometimes when I see toys like Munchin’ Rex Pet and other awesome toys of this era, I mutter to myself, “why couldn’t they have toys like this when I was growing up?”–particularly like this one, since I’m a dinosaur fanatic, ever since my first Godzilla movie, which seems like a hundred years ago.

They may not have had toys like that when we were younger, but today, we have the pleasures of buying these toys for our children and grandchildren.

Still, you’re no doubt familiar with the ever popular brand FurReal Friends, if you have children.

Along with all of their cute-looking toys like kitty cats, bunny rabbits and puppy dogs, soon, you’re going to have Munchin’ Rex Pet to the line .

Don’t think a dinosaur can look adorable? Wrong! FurReal Friends made it happen. So…

…Is Munchin’ Rex Pet a toy that would interest and entertain your kids?

Let’s continue with this Munchin Rex review to find out …

About FurReal Friends

Before continuing to talk about cute little rex, here’s some insight about the company that made him.

FurReal Friends is a toy division of Hasbro, Dreamright Toys and Tiger Electronics. The FurReal Friends began its ascent to prominence beginning in 2002. They are basically robotic toys that range from cats to dinosaurs and are available in a variety of sizes. While some of the toys can easily be held in a child’s hands, there are others that the child can ride. The price of these toys range from $6 to $300 and they all move in some way. The companies slogan is “My best friends are FurReal Friends.”

If your child is looking for a best friend that is a “FurReal Friend,” then he/she may be interested in Munchin’ Rex …

Ha! Munchin’ Rex Pet Eats Broccoli!

What vegetable does Munchin’ Rex like so much? That’s the real question.

Answer: It’s Broccoli!

Oh, who knows how kids will react to this fact–especially if they don’t like that evil veg.

This little guy comes with:

  • his own stick of broccoli
  • a piece of meat. It’s plastic, of course, but it’s okay to pretend (it teaches children to take their imagination and run with it)
  • his own little toy bottle–because you know, little baby dinosaurs must have their milk so that they can develop strong bones too.

What I find really cool about Munchin’ Rex is that he’s able to tell the difference between his treats and his bottle.

Munchin’ Rex has over 35 sound and motion combinations, which makes it even more unique. The sensors are located on his head and on his mouth.

Acting like a child , Munchin’ Rex Pet begs for attention just like any kid. In this case,  hopping around, trying to get into the limelight. So kids surely will identify and enjoy. It’s suitable for boys and girls alike–even though the theory is that girls more than likely prefer the more cuddly type.
